Cannes Film Festival is one of my favorite red carpet events of the year. 11 days worth of couture gowns set in a creative environment makes for a impressive red carpet. Here’s five of my favorite looks!
Mud co-star Reese Witherspoon is always a red carpet favorite of mine, never afraid of color! This sapphire Atelier Versace gown looks stunning on the glowing star. The cutouts on the back, seen here, add a little sexiness to a conservative look.
Cannes Festival juror Diane Kruger makes my list twice. First, above with the feminine Nina Ricci gown, worn at the Killing Them Softly premiere (starring Brad Pitt), and below in an organza and lace Christian Dior Couture gown, worn during the festival’s closing ceremony.
Freida Pinto wears a Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012 ensemble for the daytime photocall for her latest role in Desert Dancer, from what I gather, seems like a more solemn version of Footloose, set in the Middle East. I love the colors and pattern, which pop along the French Riviera.
Marion Cotillard wears Christian Dior Couture at the Rust and Bone premiere, in which she stars. Who says you can’t mix black and blue? I especially love how she lets the dress keep the attention, and kept the accessories to a minimum. Plus, check out that bun!
