NYFW Fall 2012: Behind the Scenes
Two weeks ago, I was standing behind the scenes at Diesel Black Gold ready-to-wear collection at Pier 57 during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (a.k.a NYFW).
My week of fashion went from one show to three within hours. Starting the week with the Skaist Taylor (originators of Juicy Couture) Presentation at the Lincoln Center garage-literally, the garage. Their collection exuberated California style, however I did notice the perfect Manhattan night out go-to. Releasing late Summer 2012, the line is sure to fulfill the hearts of the eccentric. Using Theodora Richards (daughter of Keith Richards) as their muse, their collection will be an easy sell as she exudes what the line represents, eccentricity and freedom all while being effortlessly chic. Of course, celebrity watching was in full effect with guests like Rachel Zoe & co, Anna Wintour, and Sandra Bernhard; the show was certainly filled with some of my favorites.

From DBG to Sophie Theallet, a quick walk from Pier 57 to Milk Studios. The collection was beautiful and the venue was warm. The line is feminine and flirty with the most gorgeous flowy dresses and perfect amount of pattern.

*Fashion Week Perk
In the mix of all things amazing taking place during Fashion Week, Glamour Magazine may have made my top five. While exiting The Standard Hotel I was confronted by a Glamour girl rep who happened to ask me (at the best time possible) if I’d like a free cab ride. Some of you may not think this is a big deal, but for those of you who do, you can understand just how ecstatic I was. The catch, you had to watch a quick beauty video on the latest YSL product, the Touche Eclat Luminizing Pen. Kudos to Glamour, because of this video, I know own this amazing touch-up pen. In my opinion, the Glam Taxi may have been one of the best marketing campaign’s, to date.
Check out all of my behind-the-scenes shots here – excuse the not-so HD photos, but all images were shot with my not-so perfect Blackberry - Yes, Blackberry.
