DIY Recipe: Guacamole

It’s difficult to mess up the trusted combination of avocado, garlic, and cilantro. When making guacamole, you want to focus on a two factors: amount of avocado and amount of garlic.

The amount of avocado depends on your appetite and how many people you are feeding. For instance, I recently made my guacamole for my two friends, and our fiesta was over before I could refill the chips!

With that being said, I recommend to preparing 2 avocado for 2-3 people, or 4 avocado for 3-4.

As for the garlic, I am a firm believer of the more the better. (Just don’t plan on kissing any vampires afterwards!)

This is a great picture from a Team KC Instagram favorite, PS I Made This. Loving the fact that she left the pit in bowl while you’re working on your recipe (and finished product). The pit and a squirt of lime juice helps keep the avocado from turning brown!

Guacamole Recipe:
2-3 ripe avocado, cut into chunks
4 large cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 small jalapeno pepper, minced
½ cup chopped red onion
1 small tomato, cored and chopped
Salt and Pepper, to taste

Serve with your favorite tortilla chips or vegetables!
