I’m Dreaming of a Winter Wedding

From New Year’s Eve to Valentine’s Day, we’ll see brides draped in fur, receptions with snowflake details, and plenty of pinecones. I’ve complied some of my favorite components to a winter wedding. My favorite piece of this post is the setting, from a wedding at Stowe, Vermont, where I’ve spent several trips (although ironically, I’ve never been there in the winter). Scroll through and make sure to let me know your favorite part of winter wedding!

Floral crowns and headpieces have been popular for a while now for spring and summer, but why not add some winter white to your look? It’s also reminiscent of the 1920’s flapper look that’s been seeing a resurgence this season. You can find the look above, along with gorgeous veils, from Twigs & Honey.

A dash of crystals, pinecones, and rustic touches create a winter themed reception without being holiday influenced. Other ideas for centerpieces and decor are lanterns, white floral, anything glittery, ornaments, snowglobes, and pine. (photos by Levi Stolove)

The Setting

Stowe Mountain Lodge in Vermont on Valentine’s Day makes the perfect setting for a winter wedding. The bride and groom pictured (by Landwehrle Photography) had an intimate wedding, followed by their first snowboard session as husband and wife. You can view more pictures from their beautiful wedding here.

I always wondered who these brides are that choose to bundle up instead of being married on a beach, but I’ve been converted after writing this post! View more winter wedding inspiration on KC’s Winter Wedding Pinterest board.
