We’re Planning an on air LIVE Wedding with Winging It! Buffalo Style

We’re so excited to finally announce our major project with the CW’s Winging It! Buffalo Style We’re planning an on air, LIVE wedding! We’re always up for a challenge, so when the producers asked KC You There to be the official coordinators on February 15th for a March 1st wedding, we had to take it on. With only two weeks time we have to plan what most couples give us at least 8 months to a year to plan (sometimes ever more)! The nuptials will take place starting at 8am on Friday, March 1st at the beautiful Tannenbaum Lodge at Holiday Valley. Be sure to keep up with our planning challenge on Twitter with #WIBSwedding and Facebook. Interested in being apart of this momentous event? Email karina@kcyouthere.com. Stay tuned for tons of updates!
Wish us luck!

SantaCon Buffalo is Coming to Town

SantaCon is finally coming to Buffalo, New York! We found it odd that for a city that comes together for just about anything that may result in fun and a little alcohol, it hadn’t been done yet, but have no fear, Buffalo will now be joining the mere 200 locations in 28 countries and counting.

Buffalo Santa’s unite! Saturday, December 17th, noon at Niagara Square. Remember your cameras as we know this is sure to be an epic day…and we know some of you may need a little help remembering. Join us for the after party during the “North Pole Stroll” which includes bars and restaurants in Downtown Buffalo starting at 1pm. Registration will only be $10 or a new toy donation to benefit the Boys & Girls Club & includes free entrance, food & drink specials. Click this to register!

SantaCon is a mass gathering of people dressed in Santa Claus costumes parading publicly on streets and in bars in cities around the world. The focus is on spontaneity and creativity, while having a good time and spreading cheer and goodwill. Something like a Santapalooza or Santa Rampage, SantaCon incorporates a day of cheerful bawdy and harmless behavior while friends, family and strangers will …gather together to sing Christmas carols around the streets of Buffalo.

This could be you

Don’t just show up in a hat! This is Santacon! So for the love of Rudolph wear a Santa costume (or something Christmas-y)! Get a Santa suit. Buy a Santa suit. Make a Santa suit. Everyone else will be wearing a costume of some sort and we don’t want you to feel lame. Get creative with your costume.. make modifications! Pirate Santa, Super Santa, James Bond Santa, Biker Santa, Doctor Santa, Samurai, Hanukkah Harry, Sugar Plum Fairy, Reindeer, Terminator Reindeer, Elf…you get the idea. Let’s show them what Buffalo is capable of.

Families, don’t feel left out! Santa thinks of everyone. After meeting at the Square, head over to the Niagara Holiday Market for free ice skating all day. You can also catch the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra at 2pm and receive free hot chocolate or coffee! One rule..you must be in your Santa/costume attire!

2012 Emerging Business Leaders Awards Gala

Emerging Business Leaders

Finally…young professionals are rewarded for their hard-work in & out of the office in Western New York!

On Wednesday, February 22nd (7:00p-10:00p) the Emerging Business Leaders will be hosting their First Annual EBL Awards Gala at Salvatore’s.  The Emerging Business Leaders (EBL) was created by the Amherst Chamber of Commerce and is geared to young professionals who are in the demographic age range of 39 years and younger. Don’t worry, we are not calling you old if you’re above 39, simply spreading the love!
The EBL Awards will recognize young professionals in several of different categories for their achievements in Western New York. Unlike, your average corporate awards dinner, the EBL Awards will be a night to remember with an elegant cocktail setting, music provided by KISS 98.5’s own DJ Tony Mamaluke, and a performance by Buffalo’s own band ‘More Than Me’. In 2010, ‘More Than Me’ won Hard Rock’s Battle of the Bands and opened at the “Hard Rock Concert 2010” for Pearl Jam, Stevie Wonder, Ben Harper & Relentless and for  headliner Sir Paul McCartney!
‘More Than Me’
Our thought, since the EBL Awards is geared towards young professionals, lets skip the usual sit-down dinner & make this an awards dinner worth looking forward to.
As Colleen Dipirro, CEO & President of the Amherst Chamber of Commerce states “Emerging Business Leaders is about more than networking. If you are an upwardly mobile individual in business and you are looking for opportunities to give back, get involved in a charity, make a difference in our region, meet your peers or just have fun, EBL is the right group to join.” The EBL hosts monthly networking events in the Buffalo region allowing for young professionals to come together, share a drink and build relationships. To learn more about this amazing organization visit the EBL on Facebook & email ccampell@amherst.org to subscribe to the mailing list.
Stay tuned for the ticket release date, as they will move quickly. Tickets inlcude: Dinner, Cocktails & Entertainment by  Kiss98.5 DJ Tony Mamaluke and of course a live performance by the band, ‘More Than Me.’
