As you know, CW23 Winging It! Buffalo Style challenged us to coordinate a perfect wedding with less than 2 weeks to air LIVE on the morning show. With the help of local vendors & Etsy Wedding shops, we were able to do just that. From decor, to the wedding dress, tuxedos, bridesmaids dresses, jewelry, florals, programs, wedding cake and everything in between, you could say we were proud of all we were able to accomplish. C & I now have a running joke that we wish all of our weddings could be coordinated in 2 weeks – fewer choices, less headache! Overall, we are so happy with what we get to do. Entertaining: St. Patrick’s Day Party

cwstpattysThursday morning I shared a few of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day entertaining tips with our friends at The CW’s Winging It! Buffalo Style. Seeing as St. Patty’s Day is more of a “going out” holiday, I kept things simple. We’re in Buffalo for the festivities and if you didn’t know, Buffalo has one of the largest parades in town. Naturally, everyone wakes up early throws on their green and heads to their first party of the day. These entertaining tips suffice for a little pre-parade action with a DIY photo booth, “Irish Gold” recipe and funky straws. View the segment here.

A special thank you to our friends from Party HQ for the festive straws & DIY photo booth accessories!

cwstpattys2We partnered with Southern Comfort to create this delicious recipe, unlike your typical green concoction. Find the recipe here for the “Irish Gold,” also featured in the latest issue of Buffalo Magazine!

We’re Planning an on air LIVE Wedding with Winging It! Buffalo Style

winter-wedding-fashion-002
We’re so excited to finally announce our major project with the CW’s Winging It! Buffalo Style We’re planning an on air, LIVE wedding! We’re always up for a challenge, so when the producers asked KC You There to be the official coordinators on February 15th for a March 1st wedding, we had to take it on. With only two weeks time we have to plan what most couples give us at least 8 months to a year to plan (sometimes ever more)! The nuptials will take place starting at 8am on Friday, March 1st at the beautiful Tannenbaum Lodge at Holiday Valley. Be sure to keep up with our planning challenge on Twitter with #WIBSwedding and Facebook. Interested in being apart of this momentous event? Email karina@kcyouthere.com. Stay tuned for tons of updates!
Wish us luck!

Entertaining: Game Day Decor & Party Tips

With the Super Bowl right around the corner, I shared some quick and simple entertaining tips for your game day party. Click on the picture below to watch my Super Bowl 2013 Game Day Decor segment as seen on CW23 Winging It! Buffalo Style.

1. Ringside Beer: With local ties to Buffalo, NY, Ringside Beer keeps the flavor fresh and doesn’t get too technical. It’s just good tasting beer.

2. ElleOL Designs: Skip the text/email invites and get a little fancy. These Super Bowl invites (from one of our favorite Etsy shops), will let your guests know you’re taking this party to a whole nother level.

3. Yancey’s Fancy: Most likely the best assortment of cheese around the Country. From flavors like wasabi to buffalo wing to horseradish – I’m pretty sure your guests won’t be moving from the snack table.

4. Katie Company Prints: A spin on the “keep calm and carry on” print. This “drink beer and watch football” print is more my cup of tea. The best part, Katie uses team colors, for all you fans!

5. DIY Snack-matt: I tried out this super easy DIY last season and it was a hit! Here’s the directions to try on your own.
